First Focus

First Focus is committed to making health care more affordable, accessible, and reliable for all children in America, with a special emphasis on our nation’s low-income children and families. First Focus supports efforts to improve health care access and quality by building on the successful Medicaid program and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) which ensure that children have access to the medical services they need and deserve. Medicaid and CHIP are the cornerstones of our nation’s health care safety net for our children and have a proven track record of providing access and coverage for our nation’s most vulnerable children. First Focus also supports efforts to improve our nation’s health care systems through the development of integrated health information technology systems, while working to address the childhood obesity epidemic. Importantly, First Focus is working to ensure that children’s unique health concerns are a central element of any health care legislation considered by Congress.
