A president’s budget is reflective of his priorities. Each year, First Focus analyzes how children’s programs fare in the president’s budget request. First Focus is pleased that over the past few years, the president’s budget would increase the share of discretionary spending on children. Even so, much work lies ahead as we begin to repair the years of damage done to these essential programs.
