First Focus submitted these comments on the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families (ACF)’s proposed changes to CCDF regulations. The comments applaud ACF’s proposed changes that align with what is the most fundamental purpose of the CCDF - ensuring that child care services supported with federal funds are safe and emphasize early learning and development outcomes of children in care. They also express our concern about the price of these regulation changes, and include a number of additional comments to increase the health and safety, quality, and family friendly policies of child care providers.
