Sarah deLone
Sarah deLone, J.D., is the First Focus Fellow at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. There, she will concentrate on health care policy and its impact on children and families.
Ms. deLone began her law practice in labor law and moved into health policy work at the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees. Since 2000, she has served as a technical director at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services — first in the Families and Children’s Health Program Group and more recently in the Disabled and Elderly Health Programs Group. She has been deeply involved in all levels of health policy in her roles at CMS, and has worked closely with states, federal officials, advocates, beneficiaries and other interest groups. Her experience in both the Medicaid and Medicare worlds and in employer-sponsored coverage are great assets to analyzing future health reforms for children.
Ms. deLone earned her law degree from Yale University Law School and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Yale University.
