Washington – The White House announced today that Cecilia Muñoz, formerly Director of Intergovernmental Affairs, has been appointed Director of the Domestic Policy Council (DPC). The DPC counsels the president on policy matters critical to America’s children, including health care, education, labor, and tax policy. In response, First Focus President Bruce Lesley issued the following statement:
“Cecilia has been a long-time advocate for addressing the problems confronting our nation's children. She is uniquely qualified to understand and provide direction for the White House on those issues of importance to children and families. America’s President and America’s children will be well-served.”
