But it doesn’t help if parents don’t know coverage is available, can’t navigate often-complicated enrollment systems, or can’t get connected to health care providers who can meet their children’s needs. Dr. Flores uses data to show how community-based workers, including Community Health Workers, Promotores, and Parent Mentors, can be used to successfully improve the health of low-income and underserved children.
